Peace in Mind Ltd provides tikanga-based and whānau-centred wellbeing services from Uawa/Tolaga Bay, Tairāwhiti.
Our mahi recognises the connections between tinana, hinengaro, wairua and whānau. We provide a calm and respectful space where people can receive support suited to their individual circumstances, culture and wellbeing needs.
Our Approach
Our services are grounded in rongoā Māori, tikanga, mirimiri, bodywork, guided wellbeing kōrero and whānau-centred care.
We work alongside individuals, couples and whānau seeking support with body tension, injury recovery, stress, emotional heaviness, reconnection and general wellbeing.
Each service begins with listening. Where needed, a consultation helps identify the most appropriate pathway and whether one service or a combination of services may be suitable.
ACC Rongoā Māori Services
Peace in Mind Ltd is a registered Rongoā Māori Traditional Healing ACC vendor.
ACC Vendor Number: VBB593
ACC-funded sessions may be available where a client has an accepted injury claim and ACC eligibility and approval have been confirmed.
ACC support may include rongoā Māori traditional healing, mirimiri, injury-related bodywork and wellbeing support connected to the accepted injury.
ACC approval must be confirmed before funded sessions begin.
Private Wellbeing Services
Private sessions are available for individuals, couples and whānau outside ACC pathways.
These sessions may include mirimiri, bodywork, holistic foot care, guided wellbeing kōrero, wairua support and other services selected according to the person’s needs.
Our aim is to provide care that is respectful, culturally grounded and safe for both the client and the kaimahi.
Where to Begin
A Therapy Treatment Consultation is recommended when you are unsure which service is most suitable or when several areas of support may be involved.
The consultation allows us to understand what you are seeking and identify an appropriate treatment or wellbeing pathway.
